Dr Babamiri is a GP with a Specialist Interest (GPwSI) in dermatology — a recognised extended role requiring competence beyond general practice in diagnosing and managing skin disease. In practice, that means lesions are examined with dermoscopy rather than guessed at, inflammatory conditions are treated according to their actual pathology, and anything suspicious is escalated without delay.

Aesthetic medicine practised as medicine. Every plan starts with facial assessment — proportion, volume distribution, skin quality, muscle dynamics and ageing pattern — and proceeds only where treatment is likely to produce a result worth having.
Dr Babamiri's approach is deliberately conservative. Faces that look treated are the result of over-treatment, and over-treatment is usually the result of treating symptoms one at a time without a plan. Where a patient's concern would be better addressed by skin health, hormones or sleep than by a syringe, that is what will be recommended.

Longevity medicine is preventative medicine with better data. The aim is not to chase an anti-ageing trend but to identify and modify the specific risks that determine how well — and how long — a person functions.
The process begins with comprehensive assessment: history, examination, and laboratory work chosen for what it will actually change. Results are interpreted against optimal ranges rather than the wide "normal" bands designed to catch established disease, and translated into a plan with defined targets and review points.

Hormonal symptoms are frequently dismissed, frequently mislabelled, and frequently treated without adequate assessment. Medicex takes the opposite approach: symptoms are mapped in detail, bloods are interpreted in the context of cycle and age, and therapy is titrated rather than issued.
Bioidentical hormone therapy uses hormones structurally identical to those the body produces. Regulated, body-identical preparations are prescribed in line with established guidance — with the risks, benefits and evidence base set out clearly so that decisions are genuinely informed.

Laser is a prescription-grade intervention, and the difference between an excellent and a damaging result is almost entirely down to patient selection and settings. Skin type, Fitzpatrick classification, recent sun exposure, medication history and the exact target chromophore all determine what can safely be done.
Treatments are planned by a doctor with dermatological training, patch-tested where indicated, and delivered in courses with proper intervals — not compressed to suit a schedule.

- Pigmentation, sun damage and solar lentigines
- Melasma — approached cautiously, with pre-conditioning and realistic expectations
- Vascular lesions — thread veins, telangiectasia, facial redness and rosacea-associated flushing

Where laser is the wrong tool — as it often is for active inflammatory disease or unstable pigmentation — an alternative pathway is recommended instead.
